Camera:
Apple might revisit the vertical pill-shaped camera layout from the iPhone 12 for the iPhone 16. This change could allow the standard iPhone 16 model to record spatial video. Additionally, Apple is rumored to add a new Tetraprism 5x optical zoom lens to the iPhone 16, a feature previously reserved for the Pro models in the iPhone 15 series.
Design:
Besides the camera redesign, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus may finally get the Action button, which replaced the Mute switch on last year’s Pro models. Apple might also introduce a capture button on all iPhone 16 models, making it easier to take photos and videos when holding the device horizontally.
Processor:
The processors in the iPhone 16 series will be crucial for handling AI-related tasks. Reports suggest the iPhone 16 series will be powered by the A18 chipsets, with the Pro variants featuring an upgraded Neural Processing Unit to enhance machine learning and AI capabilities.
Battery:
The iPhone 16 is expected to have a 6% increase in battery capacity compared to the iPhone 15, featuring a 3,561 mAh battery compared to the 3,349 mAh battery of the iPhone 15. Additionally, Apple might switch to a metal covering for the iPhone 16 batteries instead of the foil casing used last year. This should improve heat dissipation and address the heating issues reported by iPhone 15 users.
